Our Partners
![]() |
Working in partnership enables Canadian Lutheran World Relief (CLWR) to do more for those in need than we could accomplish on our own. We are a partner in development with Canadian citizens, Lutherans, Lutheran agencies, various levels of domestic and international government, international humanitarian networks and grassroots agencies in other countries.
Domestic partnerships provide us with the resources and support needed in relief and development work. International affiliations allow us to respond rapidly to global emergencies and help us stay aligned with the most current relief and development policies and practices. Our localized partners at the grassroots level ensure that our programs remain sensitive to local cultures and needs.
While we cannot list all the people and agencies that support us, there are five significant funding partners that support our work:
- Canadian International Development Agency
- Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada
- Lutheran Church-Canada
- Manitoba Council for International Cooperation
- Saskatchewan Council for International Cooperation
CLWR delivers some programs as a member in the following networks:
- Action by Churches Together (ACT) International
- Canadian Foodgrains Bank
- The Lutheran World Federation
