How CLWR will use your donation to the Haiti Appeal
Donations received by CLWR for the Haiti Earthquake Appeal are being forwarded to Action by Churches Together (ACT) International, a world-wide ecumenical coalition of church bodies and church-affiliated relief agencies.
Through its comprehensive membership ACT International makes it possible for Canadians to support relief efforts such as the one underway in Haiti through CLWR. ACT members with a presence in the region where a disaster strikes take a lead role in delivering immediate assistance as well as more long term rehabilitation programming. In the case of Haiti, the Lutheran World Federation (LWF) has assumed such a lead role.
Both CLWR and The Lutheran World Federation (LWF) are founding members of ACT International.
