Friends of CLWR Appreciation Reception

You are cordially invited to an appreciation reception being offered by CLWR on Saturday, January 28 in Kitchener, Ontario.

The reception is an opportunity for CLWR to express our thanks to our supporters and to provide an update on our programs. Admission is free and all are welcome!

We are especially pleased to welcome a special guest: Yousef Shalian, the director of the Lutheran World Federation's Vocational Training Program in Jerusalem and the West Bank. This CLWR-supported program provides market-relevant job training to Palestinian youth, with a focus on the needy, refugees, and women. Program graduates participate in the workforce at nearly double the rate of the general youth population, and over 80% are fully employed within six months of graduation.

The reception will be held on Saturday, January 28 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Kitchener, located at 825 King St. W., from 1:30-3:30 PM. Mr. Shalian will speak about his work at 2:30. Refreshments will be provided.
