Canadian Lutheran World Relief carries out a broad range of programs that are united in the goal of making life better for those in need. Today we have six main programs:

Community development

Support community-based development programs that bring improvements in health, education, nutrition, agriculture, gender equality and more.

Material aid shipments Donated Commodities
Collect essential goods from donors across Canada and make regular shipments to those in need overseas.
Emergency relief Emergency relief
Direct financial aid to areas affected by natural and human-made disasters, through established emergency relief networks.
Refugee resettlement Refugee resettlement
Assist refugees through the refugee application process, and sponsor their arrival and settlement in Canada.
International Volunteer Service International Volunteer Service
Provide opportunities for Canadians to serve overseas in an international development setting.
Alternative trade

Alternative trade
Offer Canadians a range of products that support traditionally poor farmers and workers through fair wages and crop prices.
