Canadian Lutheran World Relief supports country-based programs that involve a variety of projects. Below is a list of the types of projects found within many of these broader programs (not all programs contain every type of project). Project Categories
- Leadership and Organizational Training…projects involving the formation, training and support of small groups
- Human Rights…projects involving the training and support of groups in human, legal, environmental, cultural and civic rights
- HIV/AIDS…projects involving education and support activities that address HIV/AIDS and sexually transmitted diseases (STD's) - includes home care and orphans
- Health…projects involving water, immunization, nutrition, prenatal and childcare, and health facilities
- Education…projects involving training of teachers, education of children and adults, educational supplies and school construction
- Agriculture…projects involving training; provision of seeds and tools; construction of roads, fish ponds and irrigation; and livestock farming
- Environment…projects involving training, planting of trees, disaster preparation and pollution control
- Small Business…projects involving loans, training in business management, setting up of small businesses and vocational training
