Education and Promotion: Connecting Communities
A woman in a poor barrio in Mozambique, whose son is dying of AIDS, is asked what message her visitors should take back to congregations in Canada. "We are poor," she says. "Don't misrepresent us. But tell the story." CLWR seeks to give voice to the poor and suffering in the developing world by sharing their stories, needs, hopes and joys with Canadians. At the same time, CLWR seeks to give Canadians a way of sharing their compassion and blessings with the poor. CLWR's communications department is a conduit through which these communities can connect.
