Our aim is to rehabilitate and protect ten community ponds in Myanmar. With your support, we can do it!
First, our teams will speak with local communities to discuss their needs and priorities, before checking the ponds for siltation, contamination, and structural damage.
The silt, debris, and other sediments will be dredged from the bottom of the ponds.
Embankments will then be repaired and strengthened.
To prevents animals from contaminating the water, fences will be built around the ponds.
Once the pond has been rehabilitated, local communities will be trained in maintenance and upkeep. |
The total cost to rehabilitate a pond—each serving approximately 1,800 people—is $7,500, making our overall fundraising goal $75,000. This works out at just $25 to help give clean and safe water for one family.
