To date, more than 3,000 people in Lebanon have lost their lives to violence, and an estimated one million people have been displaced. Makeshift shelters are filling up with people sleeping on floors without pillows or blankets, or even water to drink. Others—including children and the elderly—are sleeping on the streets or in parks after their homes were destroyed during what CLWR's church partners in the region have described as "continuous bombing."
Our partners are responding, but your help is needed to continue providing emergency supplies, clean water, and protection for the vulnerable.
The Government of Canada has announced that it is extending its matching fund deadline to November 17, which means there is still time for your donations to be doubled in this special appeal.
We urge you to pray for all those whose lives have been shattered by this escalation in violence, and to please give what you can to help families that have been affected.
