Building capacity to help communities meet their needs in the long-term
CLWR’s sustainable development projects help equip people with the resources and skills they need to meet their needs and the needs of their communities in the long-term.
Through our focus on education, we’re working to build strong futures for students and teachers alike. Training and resourcing teachers equips current and future generations with strong foundations to pursue their dreams. Offering training in areas such as communication, hygiene promotion, child protection, sports and classroom management provides teachers with a holistic approach to support students. Helping teachers develop their skills and build their capacity benefits everyone they teach and education is a powerful tool in reducing poverty.
Renovating schools and enhancing learning environments provides students with safe and healthy places to study. Providing supports for students such as meal programs and school supplies helps ensure that students have the resources they need to excel—in their studies and in their personal lives.
