Friends of Creation Leadership Certificate
Over 90% of young Christians say that they are extremely worried about climate change, according to a 2023 survey. They believe creation care is an essential aspect of the gospel message, and 91% believe that it is time to do something. But only 25% have found a way to take tangible action.
Young adults know it’s time for change, let’s equip them with the skills to lead.
You can nominate two-three interested young adults aged 16-25 for a FREE Friends of Creation leadership training from Canadian Lutheran World Relief.
The Friends of Creation challenge is a growing initiative of churches in Canada that are signing up to learn more about climate change and take action to respond.
As part of the Friends of Creation Leadership Certificate, participants will be equipped to:
- Articulate their personal vision and mission to care for creation
- Collaborate with others in the community to create a shared vision
- Inspire others to care for creation
Participants must commit to:
- Attend one in-person weekend workshop in October 2025 in Edmonton, AB
- Attend six monthly virtual meetings
- Lead four events in their church as part of the Friends of Creation Challenge
Cost of training: Free!
