Call on your MP to support climate financing in the next budget

Canada’s international climate finance commitment runs out this month. The next federal budget will help decide what comes next. If MPs don’t hear from Canadians, they’ll assume we don’t care.

For the past two years, Friends of Creation across Canada have been part of something real: communities in Chad and Cameroon restoring land, strengthening livelihoods and pushing back against climate damage — while thousands of Canadians backed them with prayer, learning and generosity.

Now that progress is at risk.

The work you’ve supported is possible because of Global Affairs Canada’s international climate finance commitment, and that commitment ends in 2026. As the next budget is assembled, one question will weigh heavily in Ottawa: do Canadians care about this?

We’ve heard it plainly from our government contacts: we can only fund what Canadians tell us they want. If no one speaks up for climate adaptation, it becomes an easy cut — no matter how effective the work is.

Will you help make sure the Government of Canada hears us?
